Tell me all your thoughts on God

As it often does, the subject of God, Religion and general Beliefs came up during last night’s dinner conversations.  One of the conversers remarked that he believed because the human mind could not comprehend or did not yet understand what caused certain events and happenings in life - that those people reconciled those events and or moments as being of God or of say the Devil.  The funniest quote of the night spawned from this conversation:

"I don't believe that, I can't explain to you how AT&T works and I don't think that they are a GOD......However, I would go so far as to say they are the Devil"

Ahhhh Classic!

And on a personal note, I did have to interject and pose that his thought process worked both ways - the counter to his comment was that just because he did not believe in a God, a higher power, an energy source of some kind and or chose not to give it a name also did not mean it does not exist.  OH the Conundrum.  I must say that it was nice to have a conversation where everyone’s opinions were respected and there was no very little eye rolling. 

Climbing Mt. Tarija

So out of the corner of my eye today I see this:

Now these didn't look like flying bugs, they looked like creepy crawlies and I say that because my first reaction wasn't eww gross but in true geek fashion my mind thinks "WOW, that was a far climb up here - I wonder what that equates to considering the height of an average man." And thus, for the next few minutes I did some rough calculations and came up with this... those little buggers IF they did climb up here from the ground floor roughly climbed the height of Mt. Tarija in the Andes.  Oh and their incline was much harder mind you... GO little bugs go...
